(schengen.news) As Romania faces a labour shortage after many Romanians went abroad to work, the need for foreign workers on the local market is forecast to be between 200,000 and 250,000, driven by the demands of various industries, especially in the construction and hospitality (Horeca) sectors.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Department of Overseas Labor reported that a total of 143,160 Vietnamese workers, including 45,350 female workers, went to work abroad in the first 11 months of 2024

The workshop attracted the attention and participation of nearly 200 delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, associations, enterprises on training and supplying human resources, and delegates from 15 European diplomatic missions in Hanoi, the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition, Vietnamese representative agencies in Europe participated online.
